Dunescape Original Creations

From the Art Studio to the Golf Course

Presenting Dunescape Original Creations

from Artist & Golfer, Peter Gregory

For the Love of Art + Golf

What drives YOU? For Peter Gregory, it’s a simple equation, Art + Golf. Peter is an emerging, American Artist, a painter and a sculptor. At 17, Peter moved to NYC, to follow in the footsteps of Jackson Pollock, Willem De Kooning, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. For a decade, Peter immersed himself into the art world: galleries, museums, street art, and like-minded Artists. He studied at the Art Students League of New York. His works are inspired by city life - organized chaos - in pursuit of seeking beauty that’s often overlooked. At 30, his dedication linked him to a studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn, a sanctuary where he creates his bodies of work.

The game of golf was introduced to Peter at a young age. His father, a scratch golfer, taught him that golf was like the game of life, not simply a sport. On the course, Peter learned core values: honesty, etiquette, and respect. In pursuit of following his dreams, Peter knew one thing for certain; no matter what career path he chose, he’d do it with integrity and drive.

From St. Andrews to Bandon Dunes to Shinnecock to Oakmont to Pinehurst #2 courses, Peter’s love of golf grew. Recently, he’s found refuge in East Hampton, NY, where he now caddies and paints, a paramount haven of the two. Joan Mitchell, an American abstract painter, said, “I paint from remembered landscapes that I carry with me - and remembered feelings of them, which of course become transformed.” The elements of golf courses, sand dunes, fescue grass, and nature, combined with colors and textures, are the components that inspire this Artists’ work.
